Palletising grippers
Located at the end of the palletising robot, the gripper is the mechanical assembly used to pick up the products to be palletised. Depending on the product type, it can be a clamp gripper for open cases and trays, a fork gripper for bags, multipacks and semi-rigid products, or a vacuum plate gripper for closed cases.

Clamp gripper
The clamp gripper is designed to handle open cases, trays and trays with lids. The clamp picks cases and trays by the row, and a double-clamp system is also possible. Combined with the JY’TOOL palletising pattern software, this gripping system makes it easy to create numerous palletising pattern combinations and save recipes. Palletisers equipped with a clamp gripper can also be adapted to pick pallets and layer pads.
Fork gripper
For palletising products that are difficult to pick from above or clamp, such as bags or multipacks, the fork gripper is an ideal solution. With this type of grip, the products are supported from below. The fork gripper can also handle cartons, creating very tight palletising patterns with no gaps between cartons.
Palletisers equipped with forks can be combined with mechanised or robotic layer preparation to pick complete layers and achieve very high throughputs. Palletising patterns can be configured from the JY’TOOL software integrated into the palletiser HMI. Pallet and layer-pad picking can also be integrated.
Vacuum plate gripper
This type of gripper is suitable for closed cases. The case can be picked from above using a vacuum plate. Vacuum plate grippers can pick cartons individually, allowing very complex palletising pattern combinations to be created. These combinations can be entered directly in JY’TOOL and controlled from the palletiser HMI.
As with the other gripping systems, the palletiser can automatically handle pallets and layer pads. With a very simple mechanical design and few actuators, these grippers require very little maintenance.
Sliding curtain gripper
The sliding curtain gripper is an innovative solution for products that cannot be handled with clamps or suction cups and require layer-by-layer palletising. It can handle open cases, cases with lids, trays, multipacks and shelf-ready cases, and supports multiple palletising pattern combinations.
It is designed for high production throughputs thanks to full-layer handling. The gripping technology ensures perfectly aligned pallets with products held securely in place. The palletiser can also handle pallets and layer pads.
