JYGA developed a case magazine loading solution for a customer in the industrial bakery and pastry sector.
This robotic solution is integrated with a case packer and automatically feeds cardboard blanks into the machine magazine. It helps reduce musculoskeletal disorders.
Loading is fully automatic: the robot detects the presence and position of the cardboard stacks on the pallet and then places them in the case-packer magazine.

Solutions and results

To meet the customer’s requirements, JYGA proposed the installation of a robotic case-blank magazine loading cell.
Pallets carrying stacks of flat blanks are positioned by the operator between floor guides while the machine is stopped.
The robot, fitted with a new-generation gripper, positions itself above a stack of blanks. Optical sensors guide the picking operation. The gripper has a dedicated actuator that offsets the blanks in 50 mm stacks. Once the bundle has been released, the gripper picks the blanks.
Before loading the magazine, the robot performs a re-alignment cycle to ensure correct positioning. When the pallet is empty, the operator is notified by an indicator light.
This solution gives the customer several hours of loading autonomy.
