Biscuit packaging
In biscuit production, biscuits are packed in a wide variety of formats including flow packs, stand-up pouches and cartons. These packs must meet food-safety requirements to protect consumers. Environmental priorities have also driven the introduction of more sustainable packaging. JYGA has worked at the end of biscuit packaging lines for many years, providing adaptable and scalable solutions for biscuit packaging. Our applications include case packing, mixed packing, cartoning and palletising.

Our machine solutions
Food & beverage packaging machinery
JYGA offers food and beverage packaging machinery for cartoning, case packing, palletising and automated handling projects. From standalone equipment to complete lines, JYGA machines are robust and designed for food-industry environments including cheese, dairy, prepared meals, biscuit production, baby food, pet food, processed meat and meat.
Biscuit packaging
In biscuit production, packaging must fulfil several essential functions to protect presentation and product quality. On an automated production line, every biscuit packaging machine must support these requirements, making reliable and appropriately designed equipment essential. Packaging systems must both present the biscuits effectively – using top-load cartons, side-load cartons or shelf-ready cases – and protect the packaged products, for example in wrap-around cases.
Packaging forms a protective barrier between the biscuit and the external environment, helping to prevent mechanical, chemical or physical damage. It also determines how the product is presented on the shelf, where appearance is important in attracting consumers.
JYGA biscuit packaging machines preserve these functions while contributing to a positive consumer experience.
Pastry packaging innovation: a macaron wrap-around case packer
Optimisation and automation
A leading French and international producer of culinary specialities including macarons and sweet petits fours expanded its factory and installed an automatic JYGA wrap-around case packer. Designed specifically to case pack macaron cartons, the machine handles several formats accurately and efficiently.
The packaging process
The system receives flat cardboard case blanks and precisely loads cartons arriving from the cartoner. The machine then forms the cases, inserts the cartons and closes the cases. It also incorporates a four-corner glued lid system as part of the packaging process.
Results and benefits
The wrap-around case packer provides a smooth process. Cartons leaving the cartoner travel through an accumulation conveyor before being separated. At the same time, flat cardboard blanks are prepared for case forming. A two-axis handling unit places the lid, making the cases easy to open. Once fully assembled, the cases are ready for distribution, demonstrating the machine’s efficiency and precision.
This development in biscuit and pastry packaging reflects the industry’s continued focus on improving packaging processes. JYGA wrap-around case packers provide solutions tailored to the specific requirements of biscuit and pastry production.
JYGA biscuit packaging machines
JYGA machines are installed at the end of biscuit packaging lines. They are commonly integrated downstream of flow pack machines to provide cartoning, wrap-around case packing, top-load case packing, mixed case packing and robotic palletising.
As a designer and integrator of complete end-of-line packaging systems, JYGA can also provide an overall solution incorporating flow pack machines through long-standing partnerships.
JYGA can automate existing lines where a flow pack machine is still fed or loaded manually. Integrating a robotic loading cell automates this task and can reduce MSD risks associated with repetitive manual handling.
Every JYGA machine is designed to the customer’s specification and adapted to the product. Its flexibility allows it to evolve as packaging formats change due to new marketing requirements or environmental considerations. Robots are fitted with customisable and scalable end-of-arm tools. The machines are ergonomic and straightforward to use, while an intuitive HMI provides easy operation and automatic format management.
