JYGA Thinks Big for the Future
Why expand?
Since it was founded in 1992, JYGA has developed a successful strategy in the case packing and robotic palletising markets. Its understanding of customer expectations and requirements has enabled it to provide suitable, high-performance solutions. The company, based in the Anjou region, was enjoying strong growth in both turnover and its order book. In response to this new situation, JYGA decided to launch a major investment programme to redevelop its premises.
The work formed part of a process of continuous improvement and development. JYGA recognised that delivering a high-quality service to customers depends on providing comfortable working conditions for employees, as well as installing new machinery that would significantly increase production and storage capacity.
The project in detail
In practical terms, an additional 650 square metres were added to the existing 1,000 square metres. The workshop was to include new assembly areas as well as a stores area to optimise parts logistics.
The offices were also to be transformed to create more modern and functional working areas. The mechanical and automation design offices in particular were redesigned to accommodate larger teams. Finally, JYGA planned three new administrative offices, a purchasing office, a meeting room, a catering area and 25 additional parking spaces.
