Virtual Reality Comes to JYGA
During its Exhibition Days on 13 and 14 September 2017, JYGA Process unveiled a new service:
presenting your machine layouts in Virtual Reality using the immersive cube provided by our partner BAO VIRTUELLE.
Why Virtual Reality?
Virtual reality refers to technologies that provide an immersive experience in a digitally created world. These technologies simulate a user’s physical presence in an environment generated artificially by software.
In industry, these systems are particularly useful because they can be applied at different stages of a project. They make it possible to anticipate future real-world conditions, from machine design and ergonomic workstation design through to operator training and practice.
The benefits:
- Involve operators and maintenance teams in the design process.
- Optimise ergonomics and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
- Provide remote training and carry out tests.
Some practical applications
More than an entertaining experience, virtualising your machines is a genuine decision-making tool.
When reviewing layouts, JYGA Process can now present preliminary designs for your machines and complete lines in virtual reality.
Immersed in a 9 m² cube, you can step inside your case packer, palletiser or robotic loading system. You can visualise your installation virtually and interact with it before it has even been built.
For maintenance: technicians can identify access points to the various components.
For production: operators can visualise their workstations and format-change operations in order to optimise overall machine ergonomics and limit musculoskeletal disorders.
The approach is collaborative, involving both your technical and operational teams.
You can also assess the machine’s capabilities at full scale and visualise how it will be integrated into its final environment.
This new service has been included in JYGA PROCESS proposals since 1 September 2017.
