New Tree-Planting Projects
As part of its ongoing CSR commitments, JYGA has recently taken part in new tree-planting projects.
Reforestation project following the 2022 fires in Gironde
More than 17,000 maritime pines were planted in the municipality of Sainte-Hélène to reforest an area severely affected by the 2022 fires. JYGA contributed 2,500 planted trees to the project. Thank you to Pépinières Naudet for enabling us to take part in this important initiative.
Local reforestation in La Séguinière
JYGA also took part in a local reforestation project in partnership with La Séguinière town council and the Maison Familiale Rurale de Mauléon.
Nearly 500 trees of various species (oak, service tree, ash, beech and more) were planted by MFR students, together with hedge plants put in the ground by local primary-school pupils. As part of the initiative, Laura Lafond, agro-environment project officer at the Maine-et-Loire Hunting Federation, spoke to the children about wild fauna and flora before taking part in the planting. JYGA funded more than 300 trees as well as the wood chips.
Thank you to everyone involved in this collaborative project, which is helping to reforest our region.
