At the beginning of 2007, we decided to begin mechanising our case packing operations.

We pay close attention to the solutions and technologies used in the machines we purchase. Consulting JYGA introduced us to a company where adaptability and creativity made the difference. We therefore installed a wrap-around case packer, one of the first machines in the JYBOX range.

The story has continued with this local team, with the latest case packer delivered only recently. Start-ups have remained fast and the machines continue to perform reliably over time. This latest investment once again met additional requirements: overall SEW management and fast format changeovers at reduced cost. A success. Now that our case-packing equipment is fully covered, we would like to continue working with JYGA on other types of mechanisation.

Case Packing for Vegetable Trays

For a multinational vegetable-processing company, JYGA designed an automatic case-packing cell for ready-to-use trays. At the lidder outfeed, trays are paced by a screw system, turned 90° and presented in batches of three in front of the manipulator. The manipulator packs two cases at a time by successively placing two batches of three trays into each case. Removable supports guide the products as they descend into cases closely matched to the product format. Full cases are then discharged to the existing labelling conveyor, providing a reliable, safe and productive end of line.
