At RIANS, palletising our trays was still a manual process: it required a great deal of time and effort, and the end of line was struggling to keep pace with changing production needs. With JYGA’s Pal’it Air, we found a genuinely flexible solution: it handles different case and pallet formats without lengthy reconfiguration. Its compact footprint was decisive in our congested workshop, and human-machine collaboration is reassuring because the safety sensors allow the cobot to work close to operators. The gripper provides both precision and gentle handling. Ultimately, the investment paid for itself quickly: throughput increased, working conditions improved significantly, and the system is simple and reliable to use every day.

A strategic choice: the collaborative palletiser
The company shares its experience with the JYGA collaborative palletiser, equipment that has optimised the packaging end of line for its food products. Before the cobot was integrated, palletising was manual and required a significant amount of time and physical effort. As production requirements evolved, the company looked for an automated and flexible solution.

A collaborative palletiser suited to every format
Isabelle DION explains that the collaborative palletiser proposed by JYGA quickly proved itself thanks to its ability to handle different case and pallet formats, perfectly matching their production constraints. The cobot’s flexibility enables the company to process a wide variety of products efficiently without constantly reconfiguring the machine.

A compact footprint for a congested environment
One of the company’s most critical constraints was the limited space available in the factory. The JYGA collaborative palletiser stands out for its compact footprint, making it ideal for environments where space is restricted and equipment must be integrated precisely. Isabelle DION highlights how the palletiser’s small footprint made installation easier without compromising the other equipment already in place.

Safety and collaboration: key benefits of a cobot palletiser
One of the aspects most appreciated by the company is the human-machine collaboration enabled by the collaborative palletiser. Thanks to its safety sensors, the cobot can work close to operators while maintaining a high level of safety on the production line. This smooth interaction also improves operator efficiency, allowing them to focus on higher-value tasks while the cobot manages palletising.

A gripper for flexibility and precision
Dimitri STOQUART also highlighted a key feature of the cobot: its gripper. This technology allows the palletiser to pick and handle cases and products of various sizes with great precision. The gripper provides gentle, secure product handling, reducing the risk of damage while optimising the palletising process.

A rapid return on investment
Isabelle DION concludes by explaining that the investment in this cobot palletiser paid off quickly. Production throughput improved and operator working conditions were significantly enhanced. The testimonial highlights the cobot’s ease of use, reliability and straightforward integration into the existing production environment.

Cobot Palletizer for Open Trays

JYGA installed a Pal’it Air collaborative palletizer for open trays of goat cheese at a family-owned dairy. Empty pallets are placed by the operator at two floor positions. At the case-packing outfeed, labelled packs are stacked if required and then conveyed to the cobot. Using its dedicated gripper, Pal’it Air picks the packs and places them on the pallet according to the pattern defined in JY’TOOL software. The cobot alternates between the two stations, significantly reducing physical strain while producing consistent, stable pallets.
