Prepared meal case packing machines
JYGA case packing machines are designed for different prepared meal formats and production-line requirements. Solutions include:
- Wrap-around case packers for closed cases, open cases and shelf-ready trays
- Top-load case packers for RSC cases
- Custom case packers for specific case formats such as automatic-bottom cases
Within a single machine, JYGA prepared meal case packers can form the cases, load the prepared meals and close the cases. Depending on the application, high-speed robots or mechanised handling arms are used and adapted to the product to avoid damage. Product arrangement inside the case is optimised for secure support.
JYGA wrap-around case packers can handle many prepared meal formats, including vegetable trays, sealed or lidded plastic pots and prepared meal plates. The machines are flexible and multi-format, enabling fast and straightforward changeovers.
JYGA also supports case packing into RSC cases – loading products into cases formed upstream – as well as more specific formats such as cases with dividers.
Prepared meal loading and handling machines
JYGA also automates prepared meal handling. Robotic cells can load cartoners by placing pouches onto the cartoner infeed conveyor. JYGA also provides loading solutions for thermoformers and flow pack machines.
Further upstream, JYGA can automate tray loading and unloading of pouches. Tray management is fully robotised, including pouch unloading and tray destacking.
Prepared meal cartoning machines
JYGA cartoners provide both top-load and side-load cartoning for prepared meals. The machines receive the products, form cartons from flat cardboard blanks, load the products, then close and discharge the cartons.
JYGA cartoners can load from above or from the side and are designed for high production throughput.
Prepared meal palletising machines
For cases of prepared meals, JYGA offers robust, high-performance palletising solutions including automatic single-line palletisers, automatic multi-line palletisers and collaborative palletisers. Each solution is adapted to the production flow and end-of-line layout.
Using articulated robots, the cells manage pallets – including destacking, positioning and discharge – as well as case pick-and-place and, where required, layer pads. JYGA can also integrate stretch wrapping and pallet labelling into the palletising cell.

Example: automatic case packing of prepared food products
Automation plays an important role in prepared food packaging. One application was developed for a French multinational specialising in industrial vegetable processing. To meet growing demand, JYGA installed an automatic case packer for vegetable trays, designed to handle several product types and formats.
The case packing solution handles sealed trays, with or without lids, and integrates an existing labelling conveyor to maintain continuous production flow. Safety and efficiency are central to the design, allowing operators to intervene confidently when required.
The JYGA automated case packing process uses precise robotic handling to rotate and present the trays in the optimum orientation before loading. This improves packaging speed while reducing the risk of handling errors.
The system also adapts the case loading support to the product. A removable support assists the controlled descent of products into the case, optimising space and product handling. The installation demonstrates JYGA’s expertise in prepared meal packaging and the increasing role of automation in food production.
