Faced with growing demand and a need to optimise productivity, the customer was looking for an automated solution to improve the efficiency and safety of its packaging operations. The requirement included automated palletizing of finished products, including prepared meals and canned goods, in a demanding industrial environment. The overall objective was to achieve high production throughput, safe product handling and optimised internal logistics flows while reducing the operating costs associated with manual processes.
Project & solution
To meet these objectives, JYGA designed a multi-line robotic palletizing cell with safety curtains.
The robotic palletizing cell integrates a 4-axis robot capable of handling complete layers of cases with the precision and speed required for high throughput. The system includes accumulation conveyors, turning and batch-preparation devices, as well as automated management of layer pads and empty pallets. The solution also stretch-wraps completed pallets for secure transport.
Supported by an intuitive touchscreen interface, the installation is quick for operators to learn thanks to dedicated training and includes real-time production monitoring.

- 4-axis robot: fitted with a gripper using retractable support plates for precise handling of complete case layers and layer pads.
- Pallet management: powered conveyors supply empty pallets and discharge full pallets. The system provides up to 7 hours of continuous-production autonomy.
- Integrated stretch wrapping: wrapping system stabilises pallets for transport.
- Format flexibility: format-change time reduced to less than 5 minutes thanks to simple, intuitive adjustments.
