Client project – Technical solution
Case Loading for Pasta Sachets
Product

Pasta sachets
Packaging
Company
This application was developed for a French pasta manufacturer. To improve its production lines, the company asked JYGA to automate the filling of pallet boxes with pasta sachets.
The solution had to receive the pasta sachets, receive pallet boxes, load the sachets into the boxes and discharge the full pallet boxes, while maintaining safe operation.
Project & solution
To meet this requirement, JYGA designed a single-line robotic box loader / palletizer.
The sachets arrive at regular intervals towards the box-loading station.
The pallet boxes are placed by the operator on a conveyor outside the safety zone. The cell includes two conveyors operating alternately so that the robot always has an empty box available. The pallet box is automatically moved through the light curtains into the box-loading station. At this station, cylinders reference the pallet at all four corners to facilitate loading.
A pallet-box unit consists of:
- Two boxes
- Two half wooden pallets
- One EPAL wooden pallet
Once on the infeed conveyor, the sachets accumulate against a retractable stop, which releases them in groups of a predefined quantity to create a batch.
A 6-axis robot fitted with a vacuum gripper picks the waiting batch and places it into the pallet box.
Once both boxes are full, they are transferred through the light curtain to the operator pickup station. During this time, the robot continues loading sachets into boxes at the second box-loading station.
An operator can then safely remove the completed pallet using a forklift truck.
