Company

This application was developed for a French company specialising in organic products made from dried fruit.
To respond to growth in its market and improve efficiency and productivity, the company wanted to optimise its production equipment. It therefore contacted JYGA for a project to automatically case-pack glass cups.

The case packer had to receive products from two production lines, receive stacks of pre-glued case blanks, open the cases, load the products, integrate two existing case sealers and two inkjet marking systems, and then discharge the cases to palletizing.

Project & solution

To meet this requirement, JYGA recommended installing a top-load case packer. The machine includes two cup infeed conveyors, two systems for forming batches of six, two horizontal case magazines, two case destacking and opening systems, one robot, two transfer units and two full-case conveyors.

For palletizing, a robot fitted with a vacuum-plate gripper picks the waiting batch of cases and places them on the corresponding pallet.

Key features:

The case packer had to integrate an automatic solution for opening auto-lock-bottom RSC cases with dividers. The cell also had to integrate an inkjet marking system and two case-taping units.
