This application was developed for a French company specialising in prepared meals. The company wanted to optimise its production equipment to increase throughput and respond to strong market demand. It therefore contacted JYGA for a project to automatically case-pack prepared meal trays.
The case packer had to receive products from two production lines, receive stacks of flat cardboard blanks, form the cases and then load the products.
Specific requirements:
The case packer had to include a magazine for flat lid blanks used to close the case.
Project & solution
To meet this requirement, JYGA recommended installing a wrap-around case packer for a custom case format.
The machine includes two cardboard-blank magazines, one for the case and one for the lid, a product take-up, handling and batch-preparation module, and a module for loading the products into the case.
