For this customer specialising in sweet and savoury grocery products, JYGA designed a top-load RSC case packer.
This case packer is integrated at the end of a production line and automatically top-loads savoury-snack sachets into cases.
The installation is designed to receive the sachets, form the cases, insert the sachets and discharge the cases once filled. It also integrates an RSC case taper and a labeller.
Project & solution
To meet this requirement, JYGA recommended the installation of a top-load case packer. This compact case packer combines the three functions of forming, case packing and closing.
The sachets arrive upright from the line and are prepared in batches of 3 to 4 sachets depending on the format. At the same time, RSC cases, distributed from a magazine loaded by an operator, are formed and glued before being transferred to the case-packing station.
The sachets are picked by a 6-axis articulated robot fitted with a vacuum gripper. The robot picks the batches of sachets and places them row by row into the case. The cases are then discharged to the case taper and labeller integrated into the case-packing cell.
