Delta robot case packing

Using modern robotic technology, the delta robot case packer can reach throughputs of up to 30 cases per minute. Its ergonomic design and straightforward operation make it a practical, high-performance solution for case handling and the loading of products such as thermoformed trays, flexible pouches and cartons.

Working with pre-formed shelf-ready, tapered or RSC cases, this type of high-speed delta robot case packing can be used across a wide range of industries, including dairy, cheese production, bakery, savoury and sweet foods, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, prepared meals, fruit and vegetables, preserves, cosmetics and logistics.

The delta robot case packing solution is designed to load products into pre-formed cases. A complete system can combine an automatic case former, the delta robot pick-and-place module and a case closer.

The JYGA delta robot case packer can be fitted with multi-zone LED lighting. If a fault occurs, the lighting helps identify the relevant area so operators can intervene more quickly. The picking module can also be finished in your company colours for a consistent integration into the production environment.

JYGA delta robot case packers are designed for robust industrial use and are built mainly from stainless steel. This robust construction is combined with a clean, open design. The ergonomic human-machine interface (HMI) makes the picking cell easy to operate. With intuitive navigation, the user can start production and change formats automatically in just a few seconds. Technical documentation, video tutorials and selective event cameras can also be accessed through the HMI, helping operators use the machine efficiently.

A more responsible case packing solution

JYGA states that the carbon footprint of its delta robot and pick-and-place case packers is offset through tree-planting projects in France. For each machine produced, 26 trees are planted as part of projects such as afforestation, new production forests, forest expansion, biodiversity enhancement and the restoration of unused land.

With 91% of parts sourced in France and 98.5% of suppliers based in France, JYGA also highlights the contribution of these machines to local French industry.

In 2023, we needed to make the end of line at our Saint-Pierre-la-Garenne site faster and more reliable, with fewer issues, while adding traceability through the printing of unique serial numbers. Our criteria were highly technical: JYGA responded with a customised top-load case packer, and its proximity to our factory was also an advantage. At the La Roche-Posay site, we took a major step forward by automating the case packing and palletising of our cream cartons: an RSC case packer complemented by a Pal'it Air collaborative palletiser. The cartons leave the cartoner lying flat, are grouped into batches of 36 or 48, then case packed and closed, with labelling, legibility inspection and weighing added where required. The cobot then palletises the cases safely, and the operator collects the finished pallet. What stands out for me is a reliable, multi-format solution and the strong level of involvement from JYGA throughout the project.

At Extruplast, a contract packer of non-food liquid products, this JYGA robotic cell is above all a way to increase flexibility. It gives us the versatility we need to integrate future developments and explore new packaging formats such as PET and stand-up pouches. The main gain is the time saved during tooling changeovers: automatic end-of-arm tool changes on the robot, centralised adjustments and more. We chose JYGA for its expertise and simple yet innovative technical solutions, within a reasonable budget. Although commissioning was scheduled for the very busy end-of-year period in 2014, the factory acceptance test went well, so we are confident of a rapid start-up.
