Case Packing, Cartoning and Loading for Packaged Products

JYGA has developed a complete range of machines for the secondary packaging of packaged products. Our equipment can handle products such as steaks, cakes, brioche, film-wrapped cheese, foil-wrapped butter portions, wrapped foie gras and cellophane-wrapped products. Depending on the application, solutions can include wrap-around case packing for open, closed or shelf-ready cases, automatic or semi-automatic RSC case packing and custom cases.

Secondary Packaging

By packaged products, we mean products wrapped in a protective film that closely follows the product shape, such as butter portions, film-wrapped cheese or wrapped foie gras.

These products are generally soft and are not protected by rigid packaging, so they require particularly careful handling to avoid changing their shape.

Secondary Packaging Machines for Your Products

Our packaging solutions are designed for case packing, cartoning and robotic loading of packaged products while maintaining the required production throughput and respecting the product. The handling systems avoid pressure points that could damage or deform the product. Depending on the application, a solution can use robots or mechanical handling systems, selected according to the product and project requirements.

What is primary packaging?

Primary packaging is the first layer of protection for a product and is in direct contact with it. It can be an individual container or pack, such as a blister designed to isolate each item.

What is secondary packaging?

Secondary packaging adds another level of protection around the primary packaging. It is often a box or carton containing one or more primary packs and can provide additional product information as well as greater protection.

What is tertiary packaging?

Tertiary packaging is primarily used for transport and dispatch of larger quantities. It protects primary and secondary packs during logistics operations so that products reach their destination in good condition.
