Case Packing for Shampoo Bottles
Product

Shampoo bottles
Packaging
Company
This application was developed for a French company specialising in the manufacture of perfumes and personal-care products.
The company asked JYGA to supply an automatic case-packing system for shampoo bottles.
Project & solution
To meet this requirement, JYGA recommended the installation of a top-load case packer.
The bottles arrive upright and lengthwise. The shampoo bottles are paced by the upstream labelling system and then conveyed to the case-packing station. The cases arrive as stacks of flat blanks that an operator loads into the magazine of an automatic case former/taper.
A 3-axis manipulator fitted with a gripper picks the waiting batch of bottles from the preparation conveyor. It then places the batch into the case positioned at the case-packing station through the loading funnel. Once full, the cases arrive on a conveyor where they accumulate against a fixed stop. A pusher transfers them into the case closer/taper, which closes and tapes the cases before returning them towards the existing labeller.
