Case Packing for Sachets

Single-dose sachets
Packaging
Company
This case packer was developed for a company specialising in single-dose packaging for skincare, make-up and fragrance products. To increase production throughput, the company asked JYGA to supply a robotic case-packing module for these sachets.
The system had to receive sachets from an existing machine, receive manually formed Z-bottom cases, receive boards and layer pads from magazines, pack the sachets while inserting the boards and layer pads, and discharge the full open cases for manual pickup.
Project & solution
To meet this requirement, JYGA recommended installing an RSC case packer.
The single-dose sachets arrive from an existing machine in two lanes. Batches of 15 sachets are formed. At the placement station, the sachets accumulate in buckets, which are then presented at the pickup station for case packing.
At the same time, flat cases arrive on a pallet. An operator forms the cases and places them on the accumulation conveyor. The open cases are then carried into the guarded area.
Boards and layer pads also arrive on a pallet in stacks of flat blanks.
The cases are tilted at the case-packing station in front of the robot. Using a suction cup, the robot picks a board from the magazine and places it in the bottom of the case. The stacks of 15 sachets are then picked one by one from the buckets using the robot’s clamp gripper and placed into the tilted case. Between each row of sachets, the robot picks a layer pad and places it vertically in the case. Once the first layer of sachets and separators is complete, the robot places a second board before loading the second layer.
As soon as a case is complete, the case-packing station returns to the horizontal position. A pusher ejects the case onto the discharge conveyor, freeing the station to receive the next empty case.

Benefits of the JYGA solution
- Robotic case packing: sachets picked in batches and automatically placed into the case.
- Product protection: bottom boards and layer pads between rows provide stable layers.
- Sustained throughput: up to 140 sachets/min and 2,000 sachets per case.
- Operator ergonomics: cases are formed simply while filling is fully automated.
- Case-packing quality: cases are tilted at the loading station for precise sachet positioning.
- Compact machine: footprint of approximately 4,000 x 2,950 x 1,800 mm, suitable for integration into an existing line
