Packaging Cosmetic and Make-Up Products: Application Examples
For a global leader in the cosmetics industry, JYGA developed a cream-carton case packing system combined with collaborative palletising. To optimise the process, an RSC case packer and a Pal’It Air palletising cell were installed. The cream cartons arrive lying flat at the cartoner outfeed. The system precisely stacks rows of six or eight cartons to create batches of 36 or 48. The batches are then presented to the case packing station, where the cases are closed and discharged. A labeller ensures clear and efficient case identification. Finally, a cobot picks the cases and places them onto the pallet being built. Once complete, the pallet can be removed by an operator, simplifying handling.
For another major cosmetics manufacturer, JYGA installed a make-up packaging system with a sample cartoning station. The system receives sachets from two filling machines and stacks of flat carton blanks, forms the cartons, inserts the sachets and closes the cartons. This application once again demonstrates JYGA’s ability to deliver efficient solutions for make-up packaging.
Another example is a carton case packer developed specifically for an international cosmetics and luxury-goods company. This automatic system packs cream cartons into boxes. The cartons arrive on a conveyor, are transferred one by one to form batches of three, and are then inserted into the box by a robot. Once closed, the boxes are discharged and labelled for easy identification.
