Company
This application was developed for a French company specialising in the industrial preparation of meat products. The company wanted to preserve its traditional recipes while modernising its production equipment. It therefore contacted JYGA for an automatic palletizing project for rillettes cups. The palletizing cell had to receive the trays, receive stacks of empty pallets, palletize five tray formats and discharge the completed pallets.
Project & solution
To meet this requirement, JYGA recommended installing a single-line robotic palletizing module.
The module includes a tray infeed conveyor, robot pedestal, palletizing robot, robot control cabinet, clamp gripper with pallet and layer-pad handling, floor guides for empty pallets, three pallet conveyor modules, a layer-pad table with loading drawer, perimeter guarding and two light curtains.
Stacks of empty pallets are positioned manually by the operator between floor guides while the cell is stopped. Stacks of layer pads are also loaded manually into a drawer.
For palletizing, the robot picks an empty pallet from the magazine with its gripper and places it at the palletizing station on the stopped pallet conveyor. Products accumulate on a conveyor before being picked by the robot.
The completed pallet is then transferred through the light curtain to a pickup station outside the safety zone.
An operator can safely remove the pallet using a forklift truck.
