Cobot Palletizer for Wine Cases

JYGA responded to a request from a renowned wine estate in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region that wanted to automate a workshop handling premium wooden wine cases. The estate was looking for a compact collaborative palletizing solution that could be easily integrated into its buildings. In this application, a palletizing cobot offered a genuine alternative for reducing the risk of musculoskeletal disorders while improving productivity.

Project & solution

To meet this requirement, JYGA proposed the Pal’It Air collaborative palletizer.

This cobot is ideally suited to palletizing wine cases and wooden presentation boxes. Its fast, straightforward integration made it possible to implement the palletizing function in a very short time. The attractive, intuitive graphical interface and JY’TOOL pallet-pattern software provide effective operator assistance, enabling any member of staff who has received basic training to use the system.

As a collaborative system, the Pal’It Air palletizer does not require perimeter guarding, allowing people to move safely around the cell.

Fitted with a suction-cup gripper, Pal’It Air picks the wooden wine cases and repositions them layer by layer on the pallet. Once the pallet is complete, the operator can remove it.

Installing this collaborative palletizer enabled the estate to improve productivity while also enhancing working conditions for its teams.
