JYGA developed a new-generation multi-format case packer for one of its customers, a major and committed player in the dairy industry.
The machine packs mozzarella blocks into shelf-ready cases.
The multi-format case packer forms cases from flat cardboard blanks, loads the products using a suction-based gripping system, closes the cases and discharges them.
Project & solution
To meet this requirement, JYGA recommended installing a Multi-Format 4.0 case packer. This compact machine combines three functions: forming, case packing and closing.
The mozzarella blocks arrive on a batch conveyor for pickup by the loading manipulator in layers of four blocks.
At the same time, the cardboard cases are formed from flat blanks.
A manipulator fitted with a suction-cup gripper picks the mozzarella blocks in batches and places them into the pre-formed cardboard cases.
Once full, the cases are closed and discharged to an existing palletizer.
