A company specialising in the production of animal- and vegetable-based fats wanted to strengthen its position in the market. JYGA therefore developed a molded-butter-portion case packing solution to improve the performance of the customer’s production lines. The JYGA system packs molded butter portions reliably, flexibly and efficiently. The portions are packed into RSC cases.

Case packing molded butter portions

The molded butter portions leave an existing wrapping machine upside down and crosswise. They are then conveyed to the case-packing station. At the same time, stacks of flat case blanks are manually loaded by the operator into the belt magazine. The butter portions are collected on a conveyor and accumulated at its end. A pusher then transfers rows of portions into a layer turner and on to the manipulator. Finally, the manipulator loads the products into the waiting case. The case flaps are then folded and glued. The operation ends with the closed case being discharged onto a 90° transfer conveyor.

Flexible molded-butter case packing

The system is designed for flexible case packing. Case format changes are carried out by simply adjusting the magazine from the HMI control panel. A trained operator can complete the changeover in no more than five minutes. The JYGA case packer provides autonomous packing of molded butter portions.
